About / The person behind the code
A software engineer with an eye for the interface
and a mind for what makes it work.
I’m Amrit Mishra, a software engineer based in Canada. My focus is the frontend: the place where systems, design, and everyday human interactions meet.
I work with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript to build modern web applications. My areas of focus include frontend architecture, REST API integrations, performance optimization, and authentication-related frontend work.
I care about understandable code and useful interfaces. A well-designed component is easier to change. A clear error message helps someone move forward. A fast page respects their time. Those details belong in the engineering conversation from the beginning.
This site is a place for personal projects, small technical demonstrations, and notes on building for the web. Everything shared here is independent work; professional and confidential implementation details stay private.

Choose clear names, explicit states, and boundaries that make sense to the next person reading the code.
Think through the keyboard path, the slow connection, and the moment something goes wrong.
Use the simplest approach that meets the requirements. Add complexity when a real constraint calls for it.
The toolkit
My core focus is the modern frontend. I value understanding the platform as much as the framework.
A good place to start
A thoughtful product.
A tricky frontend problem.
A conversation about the web.
